Our roots are in the forests of Vidzeme
RAIRU’s story started 25 years ago in Northern Vidzeme, when two families pooled their knowledge, forces and funds to do that which they do best – caring for Latvia’s forests. Our goal is for the forest to grow strong and healthy and for the people to leverage the potential of the forest respectfully and intelligently.
On 10th of November 1999, two friends Kaspars Raipalis and Juris Rudītis founded a company named RAIRU. Over the course of time, it has grown into one of the forestry sector leaders and has become an exemplar for many others. The company employs over 120 employees, and our joint creations are not just work, but our passion.

Our team is comprised of over 120 employees, forestry technicians and forest equipment operators, who maintain over 60 different types of professional forest equipment harvesters and forwarders, as well as more than 20 heavy goods vehicles. Our team of technical personnel includes welders, turners, sharpeners, mechanics and procurers.

Achievements
The result of RAIRU’s many years of work – a reputation as a truly trustworthy and responsible forestry partner and long-term cooperation with A/S Latvijas valsts meži, as well as other companies. RAIRU’s achievements are also reflected in the SRS in-depth cooperation programme “SILVER”, and we are highly rated in the Taxpayers’ Rating (“A” Level). RAIRU is actively involved in the development of Latvia’s forest sector and is a member of the Latvian Independent Association of Timber Harvesting Companies, as well as the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We are proud to be able to say that RAIRU is an honest taxpayer and development-oriented company, the quality of whose work is testified to by satisfied customers and long-term cooperation partners in Latvia and Europe.
